Terms of Service | Maid Sarasota

Payment

We accept all major credit cards, checks, and cash. Full payment is due at the time of your cleaning. A credit card must be kept on file with Maid Sarasota. Your account will be charged the balance due after each cleaning unless you leave an alternate form of payment at the time of service. Checks can be made out to, “Maid Sarasota LLC.”

Cancellation

We get that life can be crazy. If you need to cancel we kindly ask you give us at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time. If something comes up last minute, and your scheduled appointment is more than 1 hour away, there is nothing to worry about, you won’t be charged.  Please be mindful that multiple (3 or more) offenders of this may be charged a $60 fee and/or their service will be suspended at our discretion.  If you cancel within the hour of your appointment or we are locked out of our home you will be charged a $120 fee.

Scheduling or service changes may not be made through our maids. Please call or text us at 941 504 7557 or email us at service@maidsarasota.com  to reschedule or modify the appointment.

Recurring Service

We offer a discounted rate for clients that book repeated cleanings (Weekly, Bi-weekly, and Monthly). Should you choose to cancel recurring service after only one cleaning then our regular One-Time cleaning charges will apply.

Entry to Homes

We have many ways for you to let us into your home while keeping your security and peace of mind.

A few options are:

  1.  Install a smart lock on your door. Technology is great! For a few hundred dollars you can get a smart lock where you can set lock codes and time windows for the code to work. Plus you can watch it all on your phone and you can just give us the code to your lock.
  2.  You may leave a key to home with Maid Sarasota LLC. Your key with be kept safe and secure in our key safe. All keys are coded for security and will never have your name or address attached to them.
    1. In the event you cancel our services, we will deliver the key back to your home within 3 business days of your cancellation.
  3.  Don’t want us holding your key? Let us install a coded key lock box discreetly on the exterior of your home for a one-time charge of $25. After we clean we will put the keys back in the box.
  4.  You may be home at the time of the cleaning to let us in. Please refer to the Cancellation section if we are unable to access your home.
  5.  While not recommended, you can leave a door unlocked or place a key under the mat. If you choose this option, you release Maid Sarasota from all liability that arises from damage made before/after or during the cleaning. You understand that you are responsible for any damages that are caused before/after or during your scheduled cleaning time.

If you have an alarm system, you may unarm the system prior to our arrival, or give Maid Sarasota the code, or call the alarm company and have a house cleaner code issued.

Arrival Day / Cleaning Time

We do our best to meet your scheduled start time but please allow for a 15-minute grace period. Our crews try to complete home cleanings in 2 hours but depending on the size and depth of the cleaning it can take up to 4 hours. Also, sometimes life happens and a cleaning tech will need to take a day off last minute, we will do our best to notify you as soon as possible if it affects your scheduled cleaning.

Online Order Misrepresentation

Please ensure the accuracy of your order. If our maids determine the online order is not representative of the home you may be subject to additional charges or partial service. Example: If you booked a 3 bed 2-bathroom home but have 4 beds and 3 bathrooms you will be charged for additional bed and bathroom.  We will do our best to clean added space within a reasonable amount of time. However, if we are back to back scheduled we may have to schedule another time to finish cleaning.

Changing or Adding Services

We do our best to clean everything you want. If you need to change or add a service please call our office at 941 504 7557 at least an hour before your appointment to see if we can fit your requested changes in during our scheduled cleaning time. Sometimes we will have back to back scheduled cleaning times and we can’t make same day changes. In the event of this, we will schedule another time to finish up.

Breakage or Loss

Maid Sarasota is fully bonded and insured so your valuables and home are protected. Should the unlikely event of a breakage or loss occur you must notify us within 48 hours of your service. Our liability limits are set at a maximum of 10 times the cost of the service charge on the day in which the breakage/loss occurred. We will pay up to $100 per breakage item when the value is verifiable. If it is valued at more than $100 a claim an investigation will need to be opened.

Service limitations

  1. We do not climb higher than a 2-step ladder or move items over 20 lbs but we will use extensions for hard to reach areas.
  2. We will not touch or move firearms to clean an area
  3. We do not clean animal/human feces, urine, vomit, blood or any other bio-hazard materials.
  4. It is to your advantage to pick up clutter as much as possible before your scheduled cleaning so we can clean all areas.

Cleaning Technicians

Generally, we send two Cleaning Techs assigned to home but could be as many as four depending on your needs.  We are unable to guarantee the same Cleaning Tech each visit due to the nature of our scheduling.

24- Hour Guarantee

Cleaning can be a very personal, subjective service. Therefore, we realize that occasionally an area may not be cleaned to your satisfaction. We are unable to offer a refund but we will happily re-clean any area that you aren’t happy with. Just let us know within 24 hours of your cleaning and we will come back and fix it.

Gratuity

Maid Sarasota doesn’t require you to tip, but it is a powerful way to say, “thanks” to your cleaning tech. If you booked online you, have the option to add a tip beforehand if you would like.

Holidays

If your scheduling cleaning falls on a holiday that Maid Sarasota observes we will contact you to reschedule.

Pets

We love them! But please secure any pet that may be a threat.

Privacy Policy & Site Security

Your security is a priority at Maid Sarasota, all of your information is stored securely through SSL. We have the appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.
